Express the following S.I. bases units using power 10 notations (a) 48 `mu g` ,(b) 0.0426 in

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(a) `48 mu g`
`1 1 mu = 10^(-6), therefore 48 mu g = 48 xx 10^(-6) g = 4.8 xx 10^(-5)`g
(b) 0.0426 in
1 inch `=2.54 xx 10^(-2)` m
`therefore 0.0426` inches = `0.0426 xx 2.54 xx 10^(-2)`m
`=1.082 xx 10^(-3)` m
