(a) Matter is made up of small, indivisible particles called atoms.
(b) Atoms of given element are identical in all respects, i.e. having same size, shape , mass and properties.
( c) compounds are formed when atoms of different element, combine in a fixed ratio.
( d) Atoms are neither created nor destroyed during a chemical reaction.
