Explain the structure of `( SiO_(2))` silicon dioxide .

Silicon dioxide is a covalent solid having three dimensional network structure in which each silicon atom is bonded to four oxygen atoms which are arrange tetrahedrally around it and each oxygen atom is attached to two silicon atoms by covalent bonds as shown in the figure. The entire silicon and oxygen atoms as shown in the figure.
