When two amino acids combine and bind through `-CO-NH - ` bond (amide bond or peptide linkage ) are called dipeptides. When amiro group of one amino acid condense with carboxylic acid group of the other, dipeptide bond i.e. ` -CO - NH - ` bond is formed. The resulting compound is called dipeptide.
