Propane reacts with chlorine in sunligh...

Propane reacts with chlorine in sunlight to give two products. 1-chloropropane is obtained in 44% yield and 2-chloropropane is obtained in 44 % yield and 2- chloropropane is obtained in 56% yield of the total product. 2-Methylpropane reacts with chlorine under same conditions to produce 1-chloro-2-methylpropane 66% and 2-chloro-2- methylpropane 33% .Wht will be the percent yield (X) of the major product obtained when 1,3,5,-trimethylcyclohexane is treated with `Cl_(2)` in similar conditipons?

Relative reactivity of `1^(@) :2:3^(@)` H towards photochlorination as calculate by above % yield is 1: 3.8: 4.5
So, yield of A,B and C will be ratio
`9xx1:6xx3.8:3xx4 i.e., 9: 22.8 : 13.5`
`C= 3xx4.5`
`A=9 xx 1`
`B=6xx 3.8`
So major product is B and its % yield is `(22.8)/(45.3)xx 100=50.33`
