The ionization constant of chloroacetic acid is `1.35xx10^(-3)`. What will be the `pH` of `0.1 M` acid and its `0.1M` sodium salt solution?

(a) `pH` of acid solution `= 1.9` , (b) `pH ` of its salt solution `= 7.9`

It is given that `K_(a)` for `CICH_(2)COOH" is "1.35xx10^(-3)`.
`rArr K_(a)=calpha^(2)`
`thereforealpha=sqrt((K_(a))/(c))`
