A cornot engine has the same efficiency ...

A cornot engine has the same efficiency between (i) 100 K and 500 K and (ii) T and 900 K. Find T.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Efficiency `eta =1 - (T_(2))/(T_(1))`
or `eta =1 - (100)/(500) =1- (T)/(900) or (100)/(500) = (T)/(900)`
`therefore T = 180K`
