`Aa n dB` are two mutually exclusive events of an experiment. If `P( notA)=0. 65 ,P(AuuB)=0. 65a n dP(B)=p ,` find the value of `pdot`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We know `P(A) = 1 – P(not A) `
=` 1 – 0.65 = 0.35 `
=`P(A) = 0.35`
Again, `P(A uu B) = P(A) + P(B) – P(A nn B) `
`P(A nn B) = 0`(Events are mutually exclusive)
so, `0.65 = 0.35 + P(B)`
`P(B) = 0.65 – 0.35`
