One number is chosen from numbers 1 to 200. Find the probability that it is divisible by 4 or 6?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

n(S)=200
A: The number is divisible 4
B: The number is divisible by 6
`n(A)=200/4=50`
`n(B)=200/6=33.33=33`
`P(AuuB)=P(A)+P(B)-P(AnnB)`
`n(AnnB)=200/12=16`
`P(A)=(n(A))/(n(S))=50/200`
