In the figure shown `B_(1),B_(2)" and "B_(3)` are three bulbs rated as (200V, 50 W), (200V, 100W) and (200V, 25W) respectively. Find the current through each bulb and which bulb will give more light ?

`R_1=(200)^2/50,`
`R_2=(200)^2/100, R_1=(200)^2/25`
the current following through each bulb is
`=200/(R_1+R_2+R_3)=200/((200)^2[(2+1+4)/100])`
`=100/(200xx7)=1/14A`
Since `R_3gt R_1gtR_2`
`:.` Power consumed by bulb = `i^2R`
`:.` if the resistence is of higher value then it will give more light.
`:.` Here Bulb `B_3` will give more light.
