Find the critical constant ( P(c ) , V(c...

Find the critical constant `( P_(c ) , V_(c ) ` and `T_(c )`) in terms of A and B, also find compressibility factor ( z) for the following equation of state.
`PV = RT-( A)/( V ) + ( 2B) /( V^(2))`
where `&&` and B are constant, P =pressure and V=molar volume.

The correct Answer is:
`V_(C ) - (6B)/( A), T_(C ) = (A^(2))/( 6RB) , P_(C ) = ( A^(3))/( 108 B ^(2)), ` compressibility factor `= (P_(C ) V_(C ))/( RT_(C ) ) =(1)/(3)`

Assertion: The numerical values of P_(c ), V_(c ) and T_(c ) are (a)/(27b^(2)), 3b and (8 a)/(27 Rb) respectively. Reason: The compressibility factor Z at critical conditions is 3//8

The equation of state for real gas is given by ((p + (a)/(V^(2))(V - b) = RT . The dimension of the constant a is ………………. .

The equation of (P_(c )V_(c ))/(RT_(c )) = ..........

At the critical condition (T=T_(C),P=P_(C),V=V_(C)) , the only incorrect information is:

The numerical valuse of P_(c),V_(c),T_(c) are (a)/(27b^(2)),3b,(8a)/(27Rb) respectively The compressibility factor Z at critical condintions is (3)/(8) .

At low pressures, the van der Waals equation is written as [P+(a)/(V^(2))]V=RT The compressibility factor is then equal to
