Heat is generated continuously in an ele...

Heat is generated continuously in an electric heater, but its temperature becomes constant after some time. Why?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

This is because the rate at which heat is generated becomes equal to the rate at which heat is lost by radiation (i.e., steady state) after some time when the heater is switched on.
