The correct Answer is:
D

It is given that, acceleration due to gravity on planet A is 9 times the acceleration due to gravity on planet B i.e.,
`g_A=9g_B` ….(i)
Form third equation of motion
`v^2=2gh`
At planet A, `h_A=v^2/(2gA)` …(ii)
At planet B , `h_B=v^2/(2g_B)`...(iii)
Dividing eqn. (ii) by eqn. (iii) , we have
`h_A/h_B=g_B/g_A`
From eqn. (i)` g_A=9g_B therefore h_A/h_B=g_B/(9g_B)=1/2` or `h_B=9h_A=9xx2=18`m ( `h_A` = 2m )
