In `NH_3` molecule N-atom has a lone p air of electrons and in `BF_3` molecule 2 electrons are requir e d to complete the octet of B-atom . Thus, `NH_3` (a Lewis base) react s with `BF_3` (a Lewis acid) to form an adduct.
