Explain the following reaction Silicon is heated with methyl chloride at high temperature in the presence of copper.

Si reacts with methyl chloride `(CH_3Cl)` at a high temperature in presence of Cu as a catalyst to form mono, di and trimethylchlorosilanes along with small amount of tetramethylsilane.
