Which properties are responsible for the extensive use of aluminium in different industries? Write some applications of aluminium.

The properties for which aluminium is extensively used in different industries are- 1. Al does not react with air at ordinary temperature. 2. Al does not get attacked by water. 3. Al is a powerful reductant. 4. It is a good conductor of electricity. 5. Al is a light metal.
Some practical applications of Al are- 1. As al is a good conductor of electricity, it is used to make electric wires and equipments. 2. It is used to make bodies of aircrafts and automobiles. 3. Al is used to extract metals like Mn, Cr by thermite process. 4. Some important alloys like magnaliwn, duralumih, aluminium bronze have aluminium as one of their constituents.
