Double bond equivalent (DBE) of a compound,
`DBE=(sumn(v-2))/2+1`
where ,n is the number of different atoms present in the molecule and v is the valency of each atom. Molecular formula of benzene is `C_6H_6`.
So, DBE of benzene =`(6(4-2)+6(1-2))/2+1=4`
