How many times is the value of the rate ...

How many times is the value of the rate constant compared to the value of the frequency factor if the activation energy `(E_(a))` for a reaction is 2.303RT?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According to Arrhenius equation,
`k=Ae^(-(E_(a))/(RT))`
If `E_(a)=2.303RT, " then " k=Ae^(-2.303)=0.1xxA`. Thus if the rate constant is 0.1 times to that of the frequency factor , then the activation energy will be 2.303 RT.
