Text Solution

Verified by Experts

According to Schulze-Hardy rule 'coagulating ion carrying a charge opposite to that on colloidal particle are most effective in bringing about coagulation of colloid'. So when coagulation occurs, charge on colloidal particle is neutralised. So, the law can be modified as: 'when oppositely charged sols (colloidal particles) are mixed in proper proportions to neutralise charges on each other, coagulation of both the sols occur.
