With the help of suitable tests, distinguish between `[Co(NH_(3))_(5)Br]SO_(4)` and `[Co(NH_(3))_(5)SO_(4)]Br`. What type of isomerism is shown by these compounds?

`[Co(NH_(3))_(5)Br]SO_(4)` reacts with `Bacl_(2)` solution and forms a white precipitate of Barium sulphate. Hence, `SO_(4)^(2-)` ion remains outside coordination sphere. `[Co(NH_(3))_(5)SO_(4)]Br` reacts with `AgNO_(3)` solution and forms a yellow precipitate of `AgBr`. Hence, `Br^(-)` remains outside coordination sphere. Thus the given compounds are ionisation isomers of each other.
