Which one of the following pairs are more reactive in `S_(N)2` reaction? Why?
(iii) `CH_(2)=CHBr and CH_(2)=CH-CH_(2)Br`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`CH_(2)=CHBr` is a vinyl bromide which is unreactive towards `S_(N)2` reaction whereas `CH_(2)=CH-CH_(2)Br` is a primary alkyl bromide, which is able to undergo `S_(N)2` reacton.
