Under what condition normality and molarity of a solution become identical?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We now, normality `=((M)/(E))xx`molarity of the solution
`=xxx`molarity of the solution
where x `=M/E=("molecular mass of solute")/("equivalent mass")`
So,if the factor x is equal to 1 for any species then molarity equals to normally.
