Both `N_(2)O` and ` CO_(2)` have similar rates of diffusion under same conditions of temperature and pressure. Explain

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Gram molar mass of both these gases are the same (44 g). According to Graham's law of diffusion. The rates of diffusion of the gases our are inversely proportional to the square roots of their molar masses under similar conditions of temperature and pressure. Therefore, both these gases diffused at the same rate.
