Why does our palm feel cold when we put some acetone or petror or perfume on it?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Certain molecules of alcohol acquire kinetic energy greater than the escape energy as a result of collisions. They, therefore, escape as vapours. Since the kinetic energy of the rest of the molecules decrease, their temperature gets lowered. As a result, the palm, becomes cold.
