Lassaigne's test is not very successful for diazonium salts. Assign reason.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Diazonium salts `(C_(6)H_(5)N_(2)X)` are highly reactive substances and when heated in a fusion tube, these immediately lose nitrogen `(N_(2))` gas and therefore, do not form sodium cyanide with sodium metal.
