How many spherical bullets can be made o...

How many spherical bullets can be made out of a solid cube of lead whose edge measures 44cm, each bullet being 4cm in diameter.

Text Solution

Let there are `n` spherical bullets that can be made out of the solid cube.
Then,
Volume of the cube = n*Volume of spherical bullets `=>a^3 = n**4/3pir^3`
Here, `a` is the side of the cube`= 44cm`
`r` is the radius of the spherical bullet `= 4/2 = 2cm`
`:. 44**44**44 =n** 4/3**22/7**2**2**2`
`=>11**11**3**7 = n`
