Calculate the length of the arc of a cir...

Calculate the length of the arc of a circle of radius 31.0 cm which subtands and angle of `(pi)/(6)` at the centre.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

We know that angle `theta=l/r"radian"`
`"Given"," "theta=pi/6=l/(31)cm`
Hence, length=`l=31xxpi/6cm=(31xx3.14)/6cm=16.22cm`
Rounding off to three significant it would be `16.2 cm`.
