Three coins are tossed simultaneously 200 times with the following frequencies of different outcomes: Outcome:       3 heads           2 heads                       1 head             No head Frequency:     23                   72                       77                   28 Find the probability of getting: (i) three heads (ii) two heads and one tail (iii) at least two heads

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Total number of outcomes=200
1)`P(3H)=23/200`
2)`P(2H and 1T)=72/200=9/25`
3)P(at least 2H)=`P(2H)+(3H)`
`=9/25+23/200`
`=19/40`.
