Given:Area of parallelogram `ABCD=124cm^2`
`E` and `F` are the mid-points of sides `AB` and `CD` respectively.
Construction:Join `DL` perpendicular to `AB`.
Now, `ar(ABCD)=`Base`xx`Altitude
`124cm^2=ABxxDL`
`E` and `F` are mid points of sides of `AB` and `CD`
`therefore AEFD` is a parallelogram.
Now,
`ar(AEFD)=AExxDL`
`ar(AEFD)=1/2xx124cm^2`
`ar(AEFD)=62cm^2`
Hence the area of the parallelogram `AEFD` is `62cm^2`.
