If one wants to find minerals and in the form they are mobilised in the plant, how will an analysis of the exudate help ?

The plants exudate (plant sap) is a mixture of the organic/inorganic compound and ions, minerals, sugars and amino acids. If we chemically analyse these we can get to know which mineral nutrient is transported in which from in the plants e.g., nitrogen is absorbed and transported a is `NO_(2)` and `NO_(3)` and sulphur in sulphate ion forms etc.
