Monica has a piece of Canvas whose area is `551m^2dot` She uses it to have conical tent mode, with a base radius of 7m. Assuming that all the stitching margins and wastage incurred while cutting, amounts to approximately `1m^2dot` Find the volume of the tent that can be made with it.

Given:
Area of canvas`=551m^2`
Area of wastage`=1m^2`
Actual area`=551−1=550m^2`
Base radius of the conical tent`=7m`
Let `l` be the slant height and `h` be the vertical height, then slant height `(l)=Area=pir=(550×7)/(22xx7)=25m`
`:.`Vertical height `(h)=sqrt(l^2-r^2)`
`=sqrt(25^2-7^2)m=aqrt(625-49)`
`=sqrt(576)m=24m`
Now volume of the tent`=1/3pir^2h`
`=1/3xx22/7xx7xx7xx24=1232m^3`
Hence, the volume of tent that can be made `1232m^2`.

Adventure camps are the perfect place for the children to practice decision making for themselves without parents and teachers guiding their every move. Some students of a school reached for adventure at Sakleshpur. At the camp, the waiters served some students with a welcome drink in a cylindrical glass and some students in a hemispherical cup whose dimensions are shown below. After that they went for a jungle trek. The jungle trek was enjoyable but tiring. As dusk fell, it was time to take shelter. Each group of four students was given a canvas of area 551m2. Each group had to make a conical tent to accommodate all the four students. Assuming that all the stitching and wasting incurred while cutting, would amount to 1m2, the students put the tents. The radius of the tent is 7m. The height of the conical tent prepared to accommodate four students is
