Figure, shows a kite in which BCD is the shape of a quadrant of ac ircle of radius 42cm. ABCD is a square and `` CEF is an isosceles right angled triangle whose equal side are 6cm long. Find the area of the shaded region.

`theta = 90^0` (triangle is anisosceles right angled triangle)
Area of shaded region = area quadrant + area of ` /_\CEF`
Area of shaded region = `(theta / (360)^0) xx pi xx r^2 + (1/2) xx 6 xx6 `
Area of shaded region = `((90)^2 / (360)^0) xx (22/7) xx (42)^2 + (1/2) xx 6 xx6 `
Area of shaded region = `1404 cm^2 `
