Compound in which central atom is present, in its Intermediate oxidation state can act as both Oxidant as well as Reductant.
So `Hoverset("+3")NO_(2), H_(2)overset("-1")O_(2) , H_(2)overset("+4")SO_(3)` can act as both oxidising and reducing agent.
But In `H_(3)overset("+5")PO_(4)` phosphorous is present in its highest possible oxidation state. Hence can act only as oxidizing agent but not as reducing agent since phosphorous can’t be oxidised further.
