If the points A(-1,-4),B(b , c)a n dC(5,...

If the points `A(-1,-4),B(b , c)a n dC(5,-1)` are collinear and `2b+c=4,` find the values of `b` and `c`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given, `A(−1,−4),B(b,c) and C(5,−1)`
Since they are collinear so,
Slope of `AB` =Slope of `BC`
`=>(c+4)/( b+1)=(−1−c)/(5−b)`
`=> (c+4)(5−b)=(−1−c)(b+1)`
