Find the roots of the quadratic equation...

Find the roots of the quadratic equations (if they exist) by the method of completing the square. `4x^2+4sqrt(3)x+3=0`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given
`4x^2+4sqrt(3)x+3=0`
`x^2+sqrt(3)x+3/4=0`
`x^2+sqrt(3)x+(sqrt(3)/2)^2-(sqrt(3)/2)^2+3/4=0`
`(x+sqrt(3)/2 )^2−3/4+3/4=0`
=`(x+sqrt(3)/2)^2=0.`...(i)
so,`x=-sqrt(3)/2,-sqrt(3)/2`
