Find the ratio in which [the line segment joining `A(1,"\ "5)"\ "a n d"\ "B(4,"\ "5)` is divided by the xaxis. Also find the coordinates of the point of division.

We know that by section formula, the co-ordinates of the points which divide internally the line segment joining the points `(x_1​,y_1​)` and `(x_2​,y_2​)` in the ratio m:n is
`(x,y)=((mx_2​+nx_1)/(m+n)​​,(my_2​+ny_1)/(m+n)​​)`
Now we have to find ratio Let ratio be k:1
Hence
`m_1​=k,m_2​=1`
`x_1​=1,y_1​=−5`
