In an A.P., the sum of first n terms is ...

In an A.P., the sum of first `n` terms is `(3n^2)/2+(5n)/2dot` Find its 25th term.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Let the sum of `n` terms be given by `S_n`
so
`S_n=(3n^2)/2+(5n)/2`
`S_1=(3(1)^2)/2+(5(1))/2 =3/2+5/2=4`
So `1^(st)` term is `4` let it be a
Now,
`S_2=(3(2)^2)/2+(5(2))/2 ...
