A fair dice is rolled. Consider the following events: `A={1,2,5}`,`B={2,3}` and `C={2,3,4,5}` Find (i) `P(A/B)` and `P(B/C)` (ii) `P(A/C)` and `P(C/A)` (iii) `P((AuuB)/C)` and `P((AnnB)/C)` (iv) `P((AnnB)/C)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Given that,
`A={1,2,5}`,`B={2,3}` and `C={2,3,4,5}`

`n(A) = 3`
`n(B) = 2`
`n(C) = 4`

(i) `n(AnnB) = n(2)=1`
`P(A/B)=P(frac{AnnB}{B})=frac{1}{2}`

`n(BnnC) = 2`
