What is momentum? Write its `SI` unit. Interpret force in term of momentum. Represent of the following graphically
(a) momentum versus velocity when mass is fixed.
(b) momentum versus mass when velocity is constant.

Momentum: The quality of motion possessed by a moving body is known as momentum of the body. Momentum of an object m moving with a velocity v is the product of it. It is denoted by p p=mv
Its SI unit is `kg-ms^(-1)`
As from Newton's lind law, rate of change of momentum is equal to force applied. So, `F=ma(Deltap)/(Deltat) [therefore Delta p=mxxDeltav]`
`m=(Deltav)/(Deltat)=ma` [ Acceleration=rate of change of velocity=`(Deltav)/(Deltat)`]
Hence, force applied on the produces acceleration.
(i) Momentum versus velocity when mass is fixed p=mv
If m is fixed, then `p alpha v`
Momentum versus velocity graph will be a straight line passing through the origin `(if v=0, then p=0)`
(iii ) Momentum versus mass graph when velocity is constant for different body p=mv
If velocity is constant for different masses, then `p alpha m`
So, the momentum versus mass grap h will be a straight line passing through the origing `(if m=0`, then `p=0)`
