Osmosis is a special kind of diffusion'. Comment.

Diffusion is the process in which molecules of a substance move from the place of their higher concentration to the place of their lower concentration (no membrane is required). But during osmosis, the solvent (water) molecules move from the place of their higher concentration to the place of their concentration through a semi-permeable membrane. Thus, osmosis is termed as a special kind of diffusion.
