The apicla bus present in tea and other plants prevents the growth of lateral buds in then by releasing auxin hormone .This phenonmenon is called apical dominane, Trimming of tea garden and botancal garden removes the apicl bud and allowing the lateral dubds to grow laterallly and give plants a dense bushy apperrance .
The scienticfic explanation for this trimming method is that apical bud is remvoed thus resuilt in hte removal of auxin and phenonmenon an of apical domince is overcomed.
