Do reaction of photosynthesis called ,as 'Dark Reaction' need light ? Explain

Dark reaction are actually light independent reaction. `CO_(2)` is reduced through various biochemical reaction to produce `C_(6)H_(12)O_(6)` ( glucose) which does not need light. But they depends on the products formed during light reactions, i.e., `NADPH_(2)` and ATP
