Two cards are drawn successively with replacement from a well shuffled pack of `52` cards. Find the probability distribution of the number of aces.

Text Solution

Given that,
Total no. of cards `= 52`
Total no. of aces `= 4`

`P(ace)=frac{4}{52}=frac{1}{13}`
`P(non−ace)=frac{48}{52}=frac{12}{13}`
Let `X=` number of aces obtained in `2` draws.

`P(X=0)=P(non-ace and non-ace)`
`=P(non−ace) times P(non−ace)`
