A cylinder and a right circule cone ...

A cylinder and a right circule cone are having the same bases and same height. The volume of the cylinder is the times the volume of the cone.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

True
Let the radius of the bases of a cylinder and a right cicrular cone be r and height be h. Then,
Volume of a cylinder = `pir^(2)h`
Volume of a cone `= (1)/(3) pir^(2)h`
`therefore`" " volume of a cylinder `= 3 xx "Volume of a case"` ltbr. Hence, the volume of a cylinder is three times the volume of their circular cone.
