A cylinder roller 2.5 m in length , 1.7m in radius when rolled on a road was found to cover the area of `5500m^(2)` . How many revolutions did it make?

Given, length of a cylindrical roller , h= 2.5
Radius of a cylindrical roller = `5500m^(2)`
`therefore` Area rolled to cover in one revolution = Curved surface area of a cylindrical roller
`= 2 pirh = 2 xx (22)/(7) xx 1.75 xx 2.5`
`= (44 xx4.375)/(7) = (192.5)/(7) = 27.5 m^(2)`
`therefore` Number of revolutins rolled by a cylindrical
`= ("Total area rolled by a cylindrica roller")/("Area rolled to cover by a cylindrical roller in one revolution") = (5500)/(27.5) = 200`
Hence, the number of revolutions rolled by a cylindrical roller on a road is 200.
