What is the maximum possible sound level in dB of sound waves in air? Given that density of air is `1.3(kg)/(m^3)`, `v=332(m)/(s)` and atmospheric pressure `P=1.01xx10^5(N)/(m^2)`.

For maximum possible sound intensity, maximum pressure amplitudeofwavecan beat mostequalto atmosphericpressure, so we have
`Deltap_(0) = P = 1.01 xx 10^(5) N//m^(2)`
so `I = (Deltap_(0)^(2))/(2pv) = (1.01 xx 10^(5))^(2)/(2 xx 1.3 xx 332) = 1.18 xx 10^(7) W//m^(2)`
Thus loudness level is
`L = (10log)(I)/(I_(0)) approx (10log)(10^(7))/(10^(-12))` = 190 dB
