When zinc reacts with diulte solution of strong acid (like hydrochloric acid HCI), it forms salt and hydrogen gas is evolved which is used in hydrogenation of oil
`Zn+2HClrarrZnCl_(2)+H_(2)uparrow`
To test the pressence of `H_(2)` gas when a burning spinter is brought near the mouth of the test tube , the gas burns with a pop sound.

When zinc metal reacts with dilute sulphuric acid, a gas is evolved. Which one is a correct statement about the nature of this gas ?

2 mL of sodium hydroxide solution is added to a few pieces of granulated zinc metal taken in a test tube. When the contents are warmed, a gas evolves which is bubbled through a soap solution before testing. Write the equation of the chemical reaction involved and the test to detect the gas.
