(a) Oestrogen At the onset of puberty in fermales, the ovaries begin to secrete this hormone. It produces seCondary sexual characters in females and prepares the body for pregnencies.
(b) Growth Hormone It is secreted by the anterior lobe of pituitary, it promotes growth and development of body.
(c) Insulin t is secreted by pancreas. It controls the rate of oxidation of glucose, helps liver and muscle (cells to absorb glucose from the blood). (d) Thyroxine t is secreted by the thyroid gland It regulates the carbohydrate, protein and fat metabolism in the body.
