Give any two ways in which biodegradable substances would affect the environment

(i) The rotting biodegradable wastes (like rotting plant and animal wastes) act as breeding grounds for flies and cockroaches. These flies and cockroaches carry germs and spread various diseases to people living in the area.
(ii) The rotting biodegradable wastes emit foul smell in the enviroment which makes the life of people in the area miserable .
