If 110 g of copper sulphate is present is 550 g of solution , calculate the concentration of solution .

A

200%

B

20%

C

D

40%

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Here ,Mass of solute (copper sulphate ) =110 g
And ,we know that :
Concentration of solution `=("Mass of solute ")/("Mass of solution ")xx100`
`=(110)/(550)xx100`
`=(100)/(5)`
`=20`per cent (or 20 % )
Thus , the concentration of this copper sulphate solution is 20 per cent (or it is 20% copper sulphate solution ),.
